Our "Music and Wine Series"
recitals take place in our home, where we present a full recital in the
salon atmosphere of our living room. Plenty of complimentary food
and wine, and the mixing of guests, create a more relaxed social event,
allowing for a richer musical experience for all. This is how
Liszt and Chopin spent many an evening, and how the solo piano recital
was born! *Coverage

masterful playing but also in their knowledge of the pieces they are
presenting." -- Tim Rios, The

Eric Thompson won the prestigious
Mason and Hamlin Piano Competition for the state of Montana when he was
14 years old. He and Catherine met 5 years later in the studio of
Dorothea Cromley, Billings, MT, and were engaged shortly
thereafter. They received their Bachelors and Masters Degrees in
piano performance, with numerous scholarships and awards, from San
Francisco State University where they studied with William
Corbett-Jones and the late Carlo Bussotti. Catherine is highly sought
after as accompanist throughout the Bay Area, and is staff accompanist
and on faculty at Los Medanos College, Pittsburg, CA.
